I had a great time with The Holdovers. It balances entertainment and character work better than most films in this lane.

I was completely pulled into The Holdovers right away. Every major scene felt purposeful and the ending really delivered. Easy five stars from me.

The Holdovers has some strong moments. The performances are solid, but the emotional impact feels inconsistent. I can see why some viewers would like it more than I did.
