The Holdovers is the kind of film that reminds me why I love movies. The story felt confident, focused, and rewarding the whole way through. Easy five stars from me.

I wanted to like The Holdovers more than I did. The pacing drags and the characters are hard to connect with. This one mostly missed for me.

I had a great time with The Holdovers. There are a few familiar beats, but the execution is strong enough to carry it.
