The Holdovers is the kind of film that reminds me why I love movies. The direction, score, and performances all worked together beautifully. This one absolutely lived up to the hype.

The Holdovers is decent overall but uneven. There is enough here to stay watchable, even if it never quite takes off. Still an okay one-time watch.

The Holdovers worked for me in pieces more than as a whole. A few scenes really work, but the pacing dips in the middle. It lands somewhere in the middle for me.

I wanted to like The Holdovers more than I did. A few moments work, but the execution feels flat most of the time. It did not leave much of an impression on me.
