Tôkyô monogatari is the kind of film that reminds me why I love movies. Every major scene felt purposeful and the ending really delivered. Easy five stars from me.

Tôkyô monogatari delivered from beginning to end. The performances, pacing, and emotional payoff all landed perfectly. One of the strongest titles I have watched in a long time.

Tôkyô monogatari kept me engaged for most of its runtime. There are a few familiar beats, but the execution is strong enough to carry it. Glad I watched it.
