Tôkyô monogatari is the kind of film that reminds me why I love movies. Every major scene felt purposeful and the ending really delivered. One of the strongest titles I have watched in a long time.

I had a great time with Tôkyô monogatari. It balances entertainment and character work better than most films in this lane. Definitely worth recommending.

Tôkyô monogatari hooked me from the first scene. The story felt confident, focused, and rewarding the whole way through. One of the strongest titles I have watched in a long time.

This one lost me very early and never recovered. The story feels unfocused and the emotional beats never land. This really missed the mark.

I had a great time with Tôkyô monogatari. There are a few familiar beats, but the execution is strong enough to carry it.
