Tôkyô monogatari is the kind of film that reminds me why I love movies. The story felt confident, focused, and rewarding the whole way through. One of the strongest titles I have watched in a long time.

I had a great time with Tôkyô monogatari. There are a few familiar beats, but the execution is strong enough to carry it. I would revisit this one later.
