Tôkyô monogatari is the kind of film that reminds me why I love movies. Every major scene felt purposeful and the ending really delivered. This one absolutely lived up to the hype.

Tôkyô monogatari kept me engaged for most of its runtime. There are a few familiar beats, but the execution is strong enough to carry it. Definitely worth recommending.

Tôkyô monogatari has some strong moments. A few scenes really work, but the pacing dips in the middle. Not bad, just not especially memorable.
