Tôkyô monogatari kept me engaged for most of its runtime. It balances entertainment and character work better than most films in this lane. Definitely worth recommending.

Tôkyô monogatari is a very solid watch. There are a few familiar beats, but the execution is strong enough to carry it. A strong movie night pick.
