The Great Dictator is the kind of film that reminds me why I love movies. The performances, pacing, and emotional payoff all landed perfectly. This one absolutely lived up to the hype.

The Great Dictator is decent overall but uneven. A few scenes really work, but the pacing dips in the middle. Not bad, just not especially memorable.
