City of God is the kind of film that reminds me why I love movies. Every major scene felt purposeful and the ending really delivered. I would gladly watch this again.

City of God is a very solid watch. There are a few familiar beats, but the execution is strong enough to carry it. Definitely worth recommending.

City of God did not work on almost any level for me. The weak script and uneven pacing made it hard to stay invested. I would not recommend this one.
