City of God is a very solid watch. It balances entertainment and character work better than most films in this lane. A strong movie night pick.

City of God delivered from beginning to end. Every major scene felt purposeful and the ending really delivered. This one absolutely lived up to the hype.

I had a great time with City of God. There are a few familiar beats, but the execution is strong enough to carry it. A strong movie night pick.
