City of God is a very solid watch. It balances entertainment and character work better than most films in this lane. I would revisit this one later.

Really enjoyed City of God. There are a few familiar beats, but the execution is strong enough to carry it. I would revisit this one later.

City of God is the kind of film that reminds me why I love movies. Every major scene felt purposeful and the ending really delivered. I would gladly watch this again.

City of God worked for me in pieces more than as a whole. The premise is interesting, though the script could have been tighter. Not bad, just not especially memorable.
