Back to the Future kept me engaged for most of its runtime. It balances entertainment and character work better than most films in this lane.

There were a few decent ideas in Back to the Future, but they did not add up. The film feels longer than it needs to because the script keeps circling the same beats.

Back to the Future kept me engaged for most of its runtime. There are a few familiar beats, but the execution is strong enough to carry it. Definitely worth recommending.
