Saving Private Ryan is a very solid watch. There are a few familiar beats, but the execution is strong enough to carry it. Glad I watched it.

I liked parts of Saving Private Ryan, even if it did not fully come together. The performances are solid, but the emotional impact feels inconsistent. I can see why some viewers would like it more than I did.
