I had a great time with Saving Private Ryan. It balances entertainment and character work better than most films in this lane. Definitely worth recommending.

I liked parts of Saving Private Ryan, even if it did not fully come together. There is enough here to stay watchable, even if it never quite takes off. It lands somewhere in the middle for me.
