Alien kept me engaged for most of its runtime. It balances entertainment and character work better than most films in this lane. A strong movie night pick.

Alien kept me engaged for most of its runtime. There are a few familiar beats, but the execution is strong enough to carry it. A strong movie night pick.

I liked parts of Alien, even if it did not fully come together. A few scenes really work, but the pacing dips in the middle. Not bad, just not especially memorable.

Alien has some strong moments. There is enough here to stay watchable, even if it never quite takes off. It lands somewhere in the middle for me.
