Really enjoyed Alien. There are a few familiar beats, but the execution is strong enough to carry it. Definitely worth recommending.

Alien hooked me from the first scene. Every major scene felt purposeful and the ending really delivered. Easy five stars from me.

Alien kept me engaged for most of its runtime. It balances entertainment and character work better than most films in this lane. Glad I watched it.

Alien did not work on almost any level for me. Very little in the film felt earned or memorable. Definitely not for me.

I liked parts of Alien, even if it did not fully come together. A few scenes really work, but the pacing dips in the middle. It lands somewhere in the middle for me.
