Really enjoyed The Lion King. There are a few familiar beats, but the execution is strong enough to carry it. A strong movie night pick.

There were a few decent ideas in The Lion King, but they did not add up. Some scenes look good, yet the story never builds enough momentum. Probably not one I would revisit.

The Lion King kept me engaged for most of its runtime. It balances entertainment and character work better than most films in this lane. I would revisit this one later.
