The Lion King is the kind of film that reminds me why I love movies. The performances, pacing, and emotional payoff all landed perfectly. Easy five stars from me.

There were a few decent ideas in The Lion King, but they did not add up. The film feels longer than it needs to because the script keeps circling the same beats. This one mostly missed for me.

The Lion King is decent overall but uneven. A few scenes really work, but the pacing dips in the middle. Still an okay one-time watch.
