The Lion King starts with some promise but loses steam quickly. A few moments work, but the execution feels flat most of the time. It did not leave much of an impression on me.

The Lion King worked for me in pieces more than as a whole. There is enough here to stay watchable, even if it never quite takes off. Still an okay one-time watch.
