Forrest Gump kept me engaged for most of its runtime. There are a few familiar beats, but the execution is strong enough to carry it. A strong movie night pick.

There were a few decent ideas in Forrest Gump, but they did not add up. The film feels longer than it needs to because the script keeps circling the same beats. This one mostly missed for me.
