The Matrix kept me engaged for most of its runtime. It balances entertainment and character work better than most films in this lane. A strong movie night pick.

I liked parts of The Matrix, even if it did not fully come together. The performances are solid, but the emotional impact feels inconsistent. Still an okay one-time watch.
