I was completely pulled into The Matrix right away. The story felt confident, focused, and rewarding the whole way through. This one absolutely lived up to the hype.

The Matrix is a very solid watch. It balances entertainment and character work better than most films in this lane. A strong movie night pick.

The Matrix starts with some promise but loses steam quickly. Some scenes look good, yet the story never builds enough momentum. There were not enough standout moments to save it.
