I was completely pulled into The Shawshank Redemption right away. The performances, pacing, and emotional payoff all landed perfectly. One of the strongest titles I have watched in a long time.

I liked parts of The Shawshank Redemption, even if it did not fully come together. The premise is interesting, though the script could have been tighter. Still an okay one-time watch.

The Shawshank Redemption kept me engaged for most of its runtime. There are a few familiar beats, but the execution is strong enough to carry it. A strong movie night pick.
