Really enjoyed American Fiction. It balances entertainment and character work better than most films in this lane. Definitely worth recommending.

I had a great time with American Fiction. There are a few familiar beats, but the execution is strong enough to carry it. Glad I watched it.

American Fiction worked for me in pieces more than as a whole. A few scenes really work, but the pacing dips in the middle. It lands somewhere in the middle for me.

American Fiction worked for me in pieces more than as a whole. The premise is interesting, though the script could have been tighter. Not bad, just not especially memorable.
