I was completely pulled into The Boy and the Heron right away. Every major scene felt purposeful and the ending really delivered. I would gladly watch this again.

The Boy and the Heron is a very solid watch. There are a few familiar beats, but the execution is strong enough to carry it.

I wanted to like The Boy and the Heron more than I did. The pacing drags and the characters are hard to connect with. It did not leave much of an impression on me.

I had a great time with The Boy and the Heron. It balances entertainment and character work better than most films in this lane. Definitely worth recommending.
