The Super Mario Bros. Movie kept me engaged for most of its runtime. It balances entertainment and character work better than most films in this lane. A strong movie night pick.

I liked parts of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, even if it did not fully come together. The performances are solid, but the emotional impact feels inconsistent. I can see why some viewers would like it more than I did.
