The Amateur is a very solid watch. There are a few familiar beats, but the execution is strong enough to carry it. A strong movie night pick.

The Amateur worked for me in pieces more than as a whole. The performances are solid, but the emotional impact feels inconsistent. Still an okay one-time watch.
