The Amateur kept me engaged for most of its runtime. There are a few familiar beats, but the execution is strong enough to carry it. A strong movie night pick.

I liked parts of The Amateur, even if it did not fully come together. The performances are solid, but the emotional impact feels inconsistent. Still an okay one-time watch.
