Full Metal Jacket is the kind of film that reminds me why I love movies. The performances, pacing, and emotional payoff all landed perfectly. This one absolutely lived up to the hype.

There were a few decent ideas in Full Metal Jacket, but they did not add up. A few moments work, but the execution feels flat most of the time. Probably not one I would revisit.
