Full Metal Jacket kept me engaged for most of its runtime. There are a few familiar beats, but the execution is strong enough to carry it. A strong movie night pick.

Really enjoyed Full Metal Jacket. It balances entertainment and character work better than most films in this lane. I would revisit this one later.
